Back on the Beach

Nestled on a wide stretch of sandy beach, Back on the Beach Café offers appetizing meals featuring local and seasonal cuisine with breathtaking views of ocean, mountain, pier, and Catalina Island. Generations of Angelinos have been coming to our landmark restaurant since 1989. Both indoor & outdoor seating is available along with extensive catering services and event planning. Come and enjoy the beach with us! 

Reservation Policy: We take reservations for groups of 6 or more people, and for indoor tables only. Outdoor tables are not reservable. Reservations are only taken in person or by telephone.  Email reservation requests must be verbally confirmed.

Dogs:  Santa Monica prohibits dogs on the beach.  Additionally, the Annenberg Community Beach House site, which we are a part of, prohibits dogs, therefore dogs are not allowed in our outdoor dining areas.  Service animals excepted.

Beach Concierge Service

$25 for [1] Person, $50 for [2] People ( per hour )

Amenities include:

  • Personalized Beach Attendee

  • Large Umbrella and Side Table

  • Food and Beverage Delivery Service

  • Bottled Water

  • no alcoholic beverages permitted

Gratuity is not included and is at the Guest’s Discretion

Umbrella  & Sand Chair    $12/ $20

Rental Requirements

  • at least 18 years old

  • sign rental slip (which includes liability waiver)

  • leave government-issue photo ID (as temporary deposit)

    ITEMS FOR SALE

  • sunscreen, beach towels,  swim diapers, swim goggles, toy buckets, t-shirts
